Experimental measurement of kinetic parameters using quantum plasmonic sensing

Kinetic models are essential for describing how molecules interact in a variety of biochemical processes. The estimation model’s kinetic parameters by experiment enables researchers to understand pathogens, such as viruses, with other entities like antibodies and trial drugs. In this work, we report simple proof-of-principle that uses quantum sensing techniques give more precise than is possible classical approach. interaction study bovine serum albumin (BSA) binding gold via an electrostatic mechanism. BSA important protein research it can be conjugated proteins peptides create sensors wide range specificity. We use single photons generated parametric down-conversion probe the BSA–gold plasmonic resonance sensor. find sub-shot-noise-level fluctuations sensor signal allow us achieve improvement precision up 31.8% values parameters. This enhancement can, principle, further increased setup. Our work highlights potential states light research.
